What Is Sculptra?

Sculptra is an injectable dermal filler developed to fill in facial age lines and address facial depressions. It is used to improve the appearance of facial lines, folds, and hollows to help you look younger.

Unlike hyaluronic acid type fillers that achieve instant volumization through the injection of a gel-like substance, Sculptra is considered a collagen stimulator. Its main ingredient, poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), facilitates gradual and natural collagen production. This truly sets it apart from many other fillers. What Is the Treatment Like?

What Is Aftercare Like?

After the Sculptra treatment, you can typically resume most normal activities. However, it is recommended to avoid strenuous activity (such as going to the gym) for a couple of days. You may notice some swelling or bruising at the injection site. If this occurs, it usually resolves within a few days to a week, but can take longer in some cases.

We usually recommend approximately three Sculptra treatment sessions, spaced out by about 4 to 6 weeks. The effect of Sculptra gradually takes place over several months. The number of treatments depends on each individual case and how well your body responds with collagen production after each treatment. After several months, you will be able to enjoy the incredibly natural-looking results of your Sculptra treatments.
